Creative Headshots

Individual portraits, also known as “headshots,” are super important when you are a creative business owner or anyone with a professional online presence. I was fortunate enough to do these portraits for a wonderful woman who is serious about relaunching her business.

While we did get some “perfect” shots she can use in her website and on social media, for me, the magic is in the outtakes like the one above, taken mid-laugh. I think it’s so important to go beyond the typical headshot look we all know. Different expressions and poses can be used in other areas of your site or as a secondary image to use in various social media. Not only that, but a well photographed, creative portrait can convey other aspects of your personality. In this case, the subject is very caring and giving, loves to help people and loves to laugh! Seriously, she would not stop smiling even for a minute! So I am very happy that I had an opportunity to capture that for her.

Though I am based in Dallas, these photos were taken in Northern California, where I’ll be available again for portraits in January 2016.
